A Letter from Dee from Bridge of Allna

Following my second admission to the Acute Assessment Unit within the last week I really wanted to pass on my sincerest thanks to everyone who looked after me. The nursing staff were lovely, specifically Tracey, who’s energy & efficiency were like a A+ appliance – thanks for making me laugh & actually making me feel better, I couldn’t have wished for a better nurse.

Also Tracey’s student, another asset to both the Trust and your profession – your knowledge & understanding are 1st class coupled with such a kind and caring demeanour, your a credit to Stirling Uni’s training.

Also, the surgical team I’m delighted to say were superb. From the wonderful Anaesthetist who calmed me down from complete terror to feeling safe & assured within just a few minutes. He even got me laughing (good job too as he spotted a chest infection brewing which has actually got quite bad) – potential danger avoided, thank you.

And then the consultants/surgeon(s) – confident and professional, yet friendly and caring – special thanks to my particular surgeon for her warmth, care and time.

Surgery re-scheduled, I can only hope that I’ll be lucky enough to re-assigned the same team.

Dee
