A letter from the Falkirk Herald February 2014
We hear so many horror stories of the public’s views and experiences of being a patient in hospital, I would like to draw attention to the wonderful experience that both my husband and I have had during his three recent admissions to Ward A11 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert.
The whole team, from the medical and nursing staff to the ancillary staff, could not do enough to make his stay comfortable.
We were both treated with the respect due and kept updated on his treatment and progress when it changed without always having to go and look for someone.
The nursing staff went out of their way to accommodate his needs and wishes and to make what was a very trying time a most comfortable and settling experience.
To sum it up I would like to say to them a very big thanks and ‘It’s not what you do, it’s the way that you do it.’
