Ensuring Health Services are Fair for All – Public invited to Local Falkirk Meeting
The pledge by NHS Forth Valley to treat all patients fairly, whatever their needs, is to be discussed at a meeting in Falkirk. Those attending will be encouraged to help shape priorities for the next two years to ensure better outcomes for patients and communities, and improved working environments for staff.
NHS Forth Valley’s Public Partnership Forum Co-ordinator, Jessie-Anne Malcolm, said equality lies at the heart of NHS Forth Valley.
She explained: “The presentation will identify actions taken already to strengthen the way we care for our patients, and also give the public the opportunity to have their say. In addition to discussing recommendations relating to equality, we will also be examining the Patient Rights Act of 2011 which aims to improve patient experience. It would be good to hear views from the public perspective and encourage people to become more involved in decisions about their own health and well being.”
The meeting is being held at 7.00pm on Tuesday February 3rd at the Council Chambers, Municipal Buildings, Falkirk FK1 5RS.
