Promoting oral health in the workplace can be of benefit by improving attendance, performance and general well being. A clean and healthy mouth improves appearance, helps make a good first impression and may also increase self-confidence and self-esteem of staff.
Employability and Workplace programme
The employability and workplace programme aims to support agencies, organisations and workplaces improve the oral health of individuals who are not in employment and those who currently work for Forth Valley workplaces involved in the programme.
- The programme distributes dental health packs to key agencies working with adults currently not in employment and at high risk of dental disease. A training package is provided in order to support them sustain positive behaviour change with their clients.
- Training is also available to workplaces involved in the Healthy Working Lives programme on oral health and nutrition and creating an oral health promoting environment. For HWL training visit the Workplace Team web pages.
