Child Flu Immunisation

Information for Parents

Description

Flu can be serious, especially for children with medical conditions.  Even healthy children can become ill from flu. In Scotland, hundreds of children visit their GP each year with flu or its complications and some are hospitalised. Immunisation is the best way to protect your child. A flu vaccine is offered to children aged 2 to 5 not yet in school, and all primary school children. The vaccine is given as a quick and painless nasal spray.
