Forth Valley Giving relies on the support of fundraising partners in order to encourage fundraising, secure legacies and donations and deliver a wide range of charitable activities and services.
The Forth Valley Giving fundraising partners consist of:
- NHS Staff
- Individuals & Communities
- Friends Groups
- External Organisations
Many NHS staff contribute to fundraising on behalf of Wards, Departments and services and they are also often the first point of contact for people wishing to donate to Forth Valley Giving. We help staff to assess ideas, plan and deliver events and ensure that they are well publicised.
Individuals & Communities
Individual and community fundraising is often initiated by those who have had a positive healthcare experience or by family members. This usually takes the form of a sponsored activities, fundraising events and charitable collections. Forth Valley Giving is able to provide advice, information and support to potential fundraisers and help publicise their activities.
Friends Groups are organisations which work closely with Forth Valley Giving but manage their own affairs and raise funds independently of us. There are three local Friends Groups:
- Friends of Forth Valley Royal Hospital
- Friends of Stirling Health & Care Village
- Friends of Bo’ness Community Hospital
If you are interested in joining any of the Friends Groups, please contact Forth Valley Giving on 01324 566 081.
Support from external organisations is very important to Forth Valley Giving. This can take the form of corporate sponsorship, company donations, employee donations (including payroll giving) and work based fundraising.
We also engage directly with external organisations to deliver charitable activities and services. Two of our key partners are the Royal Voluntary Service who deliver ‘on ward services’ and provide cafe facilities in local hospitals and Artlink Central who deliver participatory arts activities and projects with patients and collaborate on the delivery of the NHS Forth Valley Arts Strategy.
