Stress Control Courses
A free Stress Control Course which runs over six weeks is available in Alloa, Stirling and Falkirk areas. If you want to learn better ways to handle common problems such as stress, anxiety,low mood, low self-confidence, poor sleep and panic then come along.
Stress Control is an afternoon or evening class – not group therapy – so you don’t have to talk about your problems in front of others. You just sit back and learn some great ways to control stress. You can even bring a friend/relative/colleague if you wish!
Each week, you will get a booklet to take away as well as a free relaxation CD.

Forth Valley Advocacy
Forth Valley Advocacy provides a free professional independent advocacy service for people who are under: A dults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 & Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.
FDAMH’s mission is to assist people to recover from mental health problems and to promote mental well being. We do so by offering a range of services that aim to empower individuals to lead a fulfilling and participative life: we provide education and support for their carers and are committed to bringing people together across the local community.
Klacksun aims to be the voice of people who have experience of mental health issues and are currently using, or have used mental health services in Clackmannanshire or the NHS Forth Valley area.

Breathing Space staff are trained phone line advisors who will listen to you, and can connect you to organisations or groups in your area for ongoing support. The phone line is open Monday-Thursday 6pm-2am and Friday 6pm until Monday 6am over the weekend.

Websites and Online Resources
Alzheimer Scotland provides a wide range of specialist services for people with dementia and their carers. We offer personalised support services, community activities, information and advice, at every stage of the dementia journey.
Breathing Space provides a free and confidential helpline aimed at people who are suffering from low mood or depression, and is specifically targeted at young men, aiming to provide an easily-accessible ‘first stop’ service.

A Toolkit of helpful responses to encourage children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.
Living Life To The Full
Living Life to the Full is an online life skills course, aimed at people who would like to develop their skills in coping with anxiety and depression, as well as support workers who work with people suffering from anxiety or depression. Users have to register on the site, but the course is free to use once registered.

Mental Health Foundation is a UK charity that provides information, carries out research and campaigns and aims to help people survive, recover from and prevent mental health problems.

If something is troubling you, then Samaritans can help. They will provide someone to talk to whether it be via the telephone, email or face to face in one of their local branches.
Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid
This is an online course aimed at anyone who wants to help someone with mental health problems whether in a professional or personal capacity.
