Health Improvement Scotland plan to introduce unannounced inspections of maternity units across Scotland from January 2025.  To coincide with this announcement, BBC Scotland interviewed a number of staff and parents in the maternity unit at Forth Valley Royal Hospital to highlight the high standards of care provided locally as well, the focus on safety and positive patient experience as well as the team’s ongoing commitment to learning and improvement.
