Realistic Medicine – It’s Ok to Ask About Your Care & Treatment
26 September, 2022 at 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Realistic Medicine is a national initiative which aims to ensure people using healthcare services and their families are encouraged to discuss their treatment with healthcare professionals and ask why they’ve suggested a particular test, treatment or procedure. It also aims to ensure patients are fully informed about their care, including any risks and benefits, and that decisions are made jointly with their healthcare team.
Representatives from NHS Forth Valley, Scottish Ambulance Service, Care Opinion and a clinical representative from Children with Exceptional Healthcare Needs will be available to talk about the principles of Realistic Medicine and why it’s important to ask questions and be more involved in your care.
