Come and join us for a Tea Party!

The Big Tea Party is taking place on Thursday 9th of November from 2.00-4.30pm at the Social Hub in the Bellfield Centre at Stirling Health and Care Village. The event is aimed at people aged 55 and over and is being supported by a number of organisations. You can simply have a cup of tea, take part in a number of activities, have a chat and meet staff and volunteers from a number of organisations working to improve health and wellbeing and increase opportunities for people of all ages to get together.

You can come on your own or bring along friends and family and if you’re interested in volunteering then come and meet some of the organisations taking part as they all offer a variety of volunteering opportunities.

Tea, coffee and cakes will be served in the Social Hub and activities will take place in the art room. After the event you will have the chance to see the poppy display outside the outpatient building and add poppies to a number of wreaths. The Tea Party is being supported by the Royal Horticultural Society who will be planting up T-Cups and conservation volunteers who will be planting bulbs, for you to take home.

Organisations attending include:-

• Re-Engage:  organise tea parties and call companions for those over 75
• First Time for Everything: organise a range of activities for those over 55s to give you a chance to try something new, explore different hobbies and  refresh existing skills. It’s a great place to meet old friends and make new ones.
• The Conservation Volunteers: run green gyms and organise outdoor conservation activities for all ages
• Royal Horticultural Society: organise wellbeing activities for all ages
• Royal Voluntary Service: offer a range of services including recovery support, calls with care and
