The Cancer Navigation Team aims to help patients to navigate their way through, what can often be, complex cancer pathways and answer any questions you may have.
This includes helping to check and rearrange appointments, schedule treatments, transport enquiries and access interpretation and translation services; working closely with relevant clinical teams, clinical nurse specialists and treatment services.
The Team can also introduce patients to other organisations such as Macmillan Cancer Support and Maggie’s for advice and support. In addition, it provides advice to healthcare professionals, providing support for all cancer related enquiries. Enquiries may be directed to the appropriate clinical team(s) including the cancer helpline, clinical nurse specialist teams, and treatment day units as required.
