If you have been scheduled for patch testing, you will be required to attend three visits on:

• Monday
• Wednesday
• Friday

On your first visit, a nurse will apply patches to your back and secure them in place. If you have particularly hairy skin between your shoulder blades, please shave this area two days before your appointment. The testing does not involve needles or anything painful.

Important:

• Do not sunbathe or use a sun lamp for two weeks before your test.

During the Testing Week

• Do not get your back wet from Monday to Friday. You may take a shallow hip bath if needed.
• On your final visit (Friday), you will have a 15 minute appointment with the nurse to discuss any positive reactions or your skin in general.
