Public Invited to Attend Annual Review Meeting
People across Forth Valley will have the opportunity to find out more about local health developments and ask members of NHS Forth Valley Board questions at the Health Board’s Annual Review meeting on Thursday 28 November 2024.
The performance of all NHS Boards is reviewed each year through Annual Review meetings which enable the Scottish Government to hold NHS Boards to account for the delivery of national standards and agreed local performance targets.
Individual meetings will be held with local clinicians, staff and patient representatives in the morning, followed by a public session in the afternoon which will take place in the Board Room at Carseview House, Castle Business Park in Stirling between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. Refreshments will be available from 12.15pm and there will be the opportunity at that time to meet Board members and the Senior Leadership Team ahead of the formal public session.
The public session will be hosted by NHS Forth Valley’s Interim Chair Neena Mahal MBE and forms part of a review of the Health Board’s performance for 2023/24.
Neena Mahal will be joined by Board members and members of the Senior Leadership Team to highlight some of our key achievements and challenges over the last year as well as plans and priorities for the future. This will be followed by a Q&A session.
This year’s Annual Review will take place at the Board’s Headquarters at Carseview House, Castle Business Park in Stirling and members of the public are able to attend in person or observe the meeting online via a MS Teams link. Those wishing to attend – either in person or online – are asked to book a place in advance by registering on the NHS Forth Valley website www.nhsforthvalley.com/annualreview or calling 01786 457397, during normal office hours.
Questions about local health services can be submitted in advance via the online registration form or by emailing fv.corporateservicesassistants@nhs.scot although staff will not be able to answer queries on specific patient issues. It would be helpful if questions could be submitted in advance by Thursday 21 November 2024. A selection of questions submitted in advance and those asked on the day by people attending in person will be answered at the Annual Review meeting although it will not be possible for those watching online to ask questions. Responses to any remaining questions will be answered after the meeting, either directly or on the NHS Forth Valley website.
NHS Forth Valley’s Interim Chair, Neena Mahal, said: “We want to encourage our patients and members of the public who use local healthcare services across Forth Valley to attend our Annual Review meeting.
“It provides a valuable opportunity to hear more about key achievements and challenges during 2023/24 as well as future plans and priorities. We also welcome any questions people may have about local health services and a selection of these will be answered at the public session and responses to any remaining questions will be published on our website after the event.”
