Update on Ward at Falkirk Community Hospital
A ward at Falkirk Community Hospital, which was closed because of a small number of suspected cases of Covid-19, has now re-opened after subsequent tests proved negative. Staff and patients were kept aware of developments whilst investigations were undertaken and visiting temporarily paused.
NHS Forth Valley Consultant in Public Health, Dr Henry Prempeh, said: “The ward was closed as a precautionary measure and I am happy to report that latest tests show no patients to be positive. We continue to take every measure possible to protect staff and patients, in line with national guidance.”
