Voting For New Integration Joint Board Members – Falkirk
People in the Falkirk area are being invited to select two representatives to speak for them on health and social work issues and help shape future policy.
Voting will take place at Falkirk Council Chambers, Municipal Buildings on September 8th 2015 to choose public representatives for a new Integration Joint Board which has been set up as part of the Health and Social Care Partnership between NHS Forth Valley and Falkirk Council.
Five candidates have been put forward for the secret ballot which will see two people appointed – one main and one substitute. Their remit will be to make sure that the voice of local service users is heard, and give local people the chance to help shape the way that future health and social care services are designed and delivered across the Falkirk area.
NHS Forth Valley Public Partnership Forum (PPF) Development Co-ordinator Jessie-Anne Malcolm said: The role involves attending 12 meetings a year, taking part in patient and service users forums and becoming involved in public consultations. I am very encouraged to the response we received and that five people have been shortisted for what is an important new post and whoever is chosen will receive an induction which will include background information about health and social care integration and an overview of all the services which the Board will become responsible for.”
The vote will be taken at an open meeting of the PPF which starts at 7.00pm and will also focus on the service provided by NHS 24.
