Local hospital volunteer receives MBE
Congratulations to Rosemary Fletcher who has been awarded a MBE in The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to Forth Valley Royal Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rosemary, who is a retired Occupational therapist has spent the past decade volunteering at FVRH and co-ordinated the Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) in NHS Forth Valley – an initiative which encourages and assists older people to use their skills and experience to volunteer and keep active in retirement.
As well as being the organiser for all the RSVP volunteers in the hospital, she has developed a number of new projects to support patients and visitors across the hospital. Since the pandemic struck, she has been shielding but she has not let this stop her volunteering her organisational skills through online sessions.
We would also like to thank all our volunteers who have supported us over the last year.
