The school nursing service within NHS Forth Valley consists of a school nursing team lead, school nurses, trainee school nurses and family support workers who work across the three localities areas: Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannan.
School nurses are registered nurses who have studied to complete a specialist school nurse qualification.
School Nursing Service
The school nursing service focuses on prevention, early intervention and support for children and young people from commencement of primary one education up until the age of 19.
Children and young people who are home schooled can also access the school nursing service
School nursing staff across Forth Valley, facilitate and provide evidenced based health interventions. We work closely with children, young people, families and our community partners; with a focus on the following key priority areas:
