The Community Children’s Nursing Service (CCNS) is a dedicated team of Paediatric Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurses, and Health Care Support Workers providing specialist nursing and palliative care to children and young people across the NHS Forth Valley area. We are part of the Women and Children’s Directorate within NHS Forth Valley.
Our Mission
We aim to deliver high-quality nursing care in the comfort and familiarity of a child’s home or community setting, helping to reduce the need for hospital visits and supporting families in managing complex health needs.
What We Do
Our team supports children and young people with a wide range of health conditions, offering both direct care and training to families, nurseries, and schools. We work in close partnership with health and social care professionals, education teams, primary care and local tertiary centres to ensure coordinated and holistic care is provided for the children and young people of Forth Valley.

Referrals
Direct referrals are accepted into the service for children and young people who have a NHS Forth Valley named Consultant. For any other referrals please contact the Children’s Community Nursing Service on 01324 618334 for further discussion and signposting.
