NHS Forth Valley team win UK Race for Recipients

Massive congratulations to NHS Forth Valley’s Race for Recipients team which was confirmed as this year’s winning team having been the first in the UK to smash the 7000km target and the overall winner of the NHS Board/Trust level 3 or 4 category.

The national race, which coincided with Organ Donation Week, challenges hospitals, NHS Boards and Trusts across the UK to travel 7,000km in recognition of the 7,000 people currently waiting for a life-saving transplant in the UK.

Thanks to the 100 participants who cycled, ran, walked and swam more than 11,652km in just one week – a fantastic achievement – well done to everyone involved.
