Scottish Health Awards 2019

Wendy Handley, Community Food Development Worker, Dept of Nutrition and Dietetics (Falkirk Community Hospital)/NHS Forth Valley Prison Healthcare Services, won the Healthier Lifestyle Award at the 2019 Scottish Health Awards.

Wendy is based in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Falkirk Community Hospital and works closely with local prisons across Forth Valley to help encourage healthy eating and help prisoners learn new skills. She has supported nearly 200 prisoners to achieve a formal qualification through a programme of practical cooking skills and health & nutrition training.
