How we can help
We help anyone affected by cancer. This includes when you have cancer and when you care for someone with cancer, either as a family member or a friend.
Our Macmillan One to One team will listen to your concerns and find out what matters most to you. We can discuss your options together and guide you towards the support you need. Depending on what you need and want, we can offer support, share information and make referrals to the right services for you.
We provide support over the phone, face to face in the local community and sometimes in your own home or online via video calls.
How does it work?
A member of our Macmillan One to One team will have a conversation with you about the concerns that matter to you. This can range from money, fatigue, physical concerns, practical things like housework and getting about through to your emotional wellbeing.
Our team can be your point of contact to access the support you need.
What can I expect
You can expect a supportive, welcoming and personalised approach which is focussed on you. When you contact us, we will take some basic information and give a brief explanation of what we do to help you decide if the service is right for you.
We’ll then arrange for you to meet a someone from our Macmillan One to One team – appointments are usually arranged within 1-2 weeks of initial contact.
We can then make any referrals to other services and organisations on your behalf, provide you with information and advice and check back in with you at agreed times.
