NHS Forth Valley Library Services provides a free and comprehensive library service to all NHS Forth Valley health and social care staff.
Staff are welcome to borrow from our print collections, and are encouraged to pop in for a visit or attend an induction session via Teams to learn more about our services and resources. We are based on level 2 of Forth Valley Royal Hospital, within the Medical Education department. We also have a number of PCs and study spaces.
We offer a literature searching service, as well as training opportunities to support staff with accessing the information and resources they need for their evidence-based practice, professional development and learning. Please the staff intranet to find out more about all we offer and the many ways we can support you. You can also request a literature search or training session using our online forms available via the intranet.
The Knowledge Network
It is also possible to access a wealth of online resources via The Knowledge Network, the national NHS Scotland eLibrary which we are part of. Our subscription resources include journals, eBooks, and evidence summary tools such as BMJ Best Practice. You can use Library Search, our catalogue, to browse both our print and digital collections, to request books from other NHSS libraries, and for direct access to our subscription resources.
Please visit The Knowledge Network registration page for more information on eligibility, and accessing our digital resources via OpenAthens.
