PNDS provides assessment, formulation, recommendations, and where appropriate and helpful, diagnostic assessment for children and young people to help them understand their neurodevelopmental differences and support needs.
A neurodevelopmental profile describes a person’s strengths and weaknesses. This can help people know how to support them.
PNDS was developed as part of the Scottish government initiative for children and young people who have neurodevelopmental profiles and do not meet the criteria for other services such as CAMHS.
Feedback on our service
We really value the opinions of children and their families to help us develop our service.
This feedback is separate from ESSENCE-D, where some families may be invited to complete a survey while waiting for a neurodevelopmental assessment.
To provide feedback on the Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Service (PNDS), please share your story at careopinion.org.uk or use the other NHS Forth Valley feedback options.
