Inpatient Respiratory Care at FVRH is managed in B31, a 32 bedded mixed respiratory and acute medical ward.
There are 4 respiratory consultants who oversee the care of patients with breathing problems, including lung disease, cancer, emphysema, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) along with other respiratory disorders.
It is also the designated care area for patients with complex respiratory related conditions such as chest drains or patients requiring high flow nasal oxygen.
Visiting
Visiting hours are 11am-8pm.
If you’d like to visit outside of these times, please speak to the nurse in charge of the ward.
Please don’t bring flowers or plants on to the ward as they can make some people’s lung problems much worse. These wards are also not suitable for babies and young children to be brought to visit.
Feedback
We’re always pleased to receive your feedback as it helps us to learn and identify the areas where we can improve. Of course, positive feedback on the care we provide is always welcome too.
