The GP walk-in service located at CCHC provides urgent care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions that require immediate treatment and cannot wait for a routine appointment.
If your condition is not urgent or is better treated somewhere else, you will be redirected to the most appropriate service.
Who can use this service
To use this service you should:
- Be a resident in the Clackmannanshire Council area (FK10, FK11, F12, F13, and FK14 postcodes)
- Have an urgent condition that needs help today, but is not an emergency.
What we can help with
The clinic is designed for urgent care and can help with:
- New pain or fever
- Suspected chest, throat or ear infections
- Acute or new urinary symptoms
- Skin conditions, including rashes and infections
- Muscle, joint or back pain
- Stomach or bowel problems
- Headaches or dizziness
- Flare-ups of existing conditions, such as asthma
What this service cannot help with
The GP walk-in clinic is not suitable for:
- Emergencies such as chest pain, suspected stroke, heavy bleeding or severe breathing problems. Attend the Emergency Department or call 999.
- Minor injuries such as sprains, suspected broken bones or minor burns. Call NHS 24 on 111.
- Routine management of long-term or pre-diagnosed conditions, including routine reviews and repeat prescriptions.
- Babies under 3 months old. Please contact your GP or another healthcare professional. If you are unsure where to go, call NHS 24 on 111.
We cannot provide
- Mental health services
- Ophthalmology or eye care services
- Dental care
- Blood tests
- Sick notes (fit notes) or doctor’s letters
