Long Service Awards for Forth Valley Community Nurses
Community nursing staff who share a total of 461 years of service to the NHS received long service awards at a special ceremony held at Stirling Community Hospital.
The annual award scheme, presented by the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS), is dedicated to nurses who achieve the outstanding contribution of 21 years or more of work in the community.
The QNIS promote the delivery of excellent care by nurses working in the community across Scotland. The Community Nurse is one of the unsung heroes of modern nursing and these awards recognise the important work the Community Nurses do.
Glynis Gordon Lead Nurse for Community Health Services in NHS Forth Valley, said:
These awards are an excellent way of recognising the hard work and fantastic service provided by our community nurses throughout Forth Valley. We are delighted and proud that so many of our local staff have been rewarded for their outstanding service to the NHS.”
