Description
16 Days of Action’ is an international campaign to raise awareness of the issues around violence against women. The campaign runs between 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and 10th December (International Human Rights Day).
Whilst this campaign focuses specifically on male violence against women, it is recognised that men can also be subjected to many of these issues, as can people in same sex relationships, however, in the vast majority of cases these acts are carried out by men against women.
It is now far more widely recognised that domestic abuse affects people from all walks of life, and from all cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds, the well off as well as the poor
These photo’s show our partnership approach with service providers and members of the public to raising awareness of this issue, by delivering a clear and consistent message that domestic abuse is wrong.
Working together we can we can make a real difference to the lives of the people in the Forth Valley area.
