NHS Forth Valley Looks For New Member To Join Board
NHS Forth Valley is looking for a new Non-Executive member to join its Board to help ensure the views of local people are represented in local health decisions.
NHS Forth Valley is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 300,000 people living in Forth Valley, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for populations covering a geographic area from Killin and Tyndrum in the North and Strathblane and Bo’ness in the South.
Alex Linkston, Chairman of NHS Forth Valley, said: “This is a challenging and rewarding role and is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the delivery of health and care services across Forth Valley.
“We want to find a Non-Executive board member who is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of local people across Forth Valley and can bring a diverse range of experience, knowledge and skills to the NHS Board.
He added: “We are asking people with an interest in health and public service, but who may not have thought of being a Non-Executive board member, to consider applying. You will be offered the training and support you need to help you make a strong contribution. You do not need to be a health expert or to have experience of the NHS to be a Non-Executive board member and we are keen to encourage applications from people with a wide range of different backgrounds, skills and experience.”
The Non-Executive post commitment will vary week to week, but on average the role will take up around 8 hours a week for a remuneration of £8,088 (non-pensionable) per annum. Further details and copies of the application pack can be obtained from the dedicated public appointments website: www.appointed-for-scotland.org. Completed application forms should be returned direct to the Scottish Government’s Public Appointments Team on or before Friday 23rd October 2015.
It is expected that interviews will be held on 23 November 2015 in Stirling.
If you experience any difficulties accessing the website or require a word version of the application form, please contact the Scottish Government’s Public Appointments Team on (Freephone) 0300 244 1898 or fax on 0131 244 3833, by email at paapplicationsmailbox@scotland.gsi.gov.uk, or by writing to Public Appointments, Scottish Government, E1 Spur, Saughton House, Broomhouse Drive, Edinburgh EH11 3XD.
