Service User Representatives Sought for Integration Joint Board

People across Clackmannanshire and Stirling council areas who regularly use health and social care services are being invited to make their voices heard over how local care should be delivered in future.

Members of the public are being sought to represent the views of local people on the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Integration Joint Board and also the Strategic Planning Group. These are part of the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership – a partnership between NHS Forth Valley and Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils.

The aim is to ensure the voices of service users are heard and give local people the chance to help shape the way future health and social care services are designed and delivered across Clackmannanshire and Stirling. The roles involve attending meetings, taking part in patient and service user forums and consulting other people who use local health and care services.

Open information sessions are being held in Alloa and Stirling for anyone who is interested in applying. These will take place at:

  • Ludgate House, Mar Place, Alloa, FK10 2AD on 9th May 2018 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and on 10th May 2018 from 10.00am – 11.00am
  • Room 1, Education Centre, Stirling Community Hospital, Livilands, Stirling, FK8 2AU on 10th May 2018 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm
  • Open Learning Centre, Stirling Community Hospital, Livilands, Stirling, FK8 2AU on 11th May 2018 from 10.00am – 11.00am

Anyone aged over 18 who lives in the two council areas can also apply direct by explaining in around 400 words why they think they should be a representative and what skills and experience they can bring to the role.

This should be emailed along with your full name and details of the council area you live to cs.integration@nhs.net or posted to Stephanie McNairney, Health and Social Care Integration, Stirling Community Hospital, Livilands, Stirling, FK8 2AU by no later than Friday 25th May 2018.

Four public representatives will be appointed – one from each council for both the Integration Joint Board and the Strategic Planning Group. All new representatives to the Integration Joint Board will be provided with an induction. Meetings will generally be scheduled to take place within working hours Monday to Friday and all reasonable costs will be covered.
