Audiology is all about helping people hear and feel better. Audiologists check your hearing, look into any balance problems, and offer support such as hearing aids or simple treatments to improve everyday communication.
Our goal is to make listening easier and help you stay confident and connected in daily life.

Hearing tests and accessing the service
Hearing assessment for the first time
Make an appointment with your GP. They will examine your ears and refer you to Audiology or ENT as appropriate.
New to the area
If you have a hearing aid from another NHS board, we may be able to offer limited support or advice. We cannot fully take over your care as we may not have your fitting details or replacement parts. Privately purchased hearing aids cannot be supported.
Previously tested but never had a hearing aid
If you declined a hearing aid within the last year, you may be offered an appointment directly. After this, a new GP referral is required.
Have a hearing aid but never worn it
If your hearing aid was issued by NHS Forth Valley, you can contact us for support or attend a volunteer-led servicing clinic.
