From Monday 28 September 2026, residents of Clackmannanshire will be able to use a new GP-led walk-in service to get help for a range of non-emergency health conditions.

The walk-in service, based in Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre, is opening on a phased basis, initially open Mondays and Thursdays between 12.00 and 18:00.

The phased approach will allow the service to understand demand and recruit additional GPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners to support the expansion to 7-day opening.

The service is designed to complement existing GP practice services, supporting people in Clackmannanshire who need advice or same day care for more urgent health conditions, including new pain or fevers, stomach problems, muscle or joint pain, headaches, dizziness, and suspected chest throat or ear infections.

Patients are encouraged to continue using their existing GP practice and pharmacy services as normal, with the walk-in pilot intended to support current service provision rather than replace it.

People can attend the new service on a walk-in basis without an appointment, or phone ahead to book an appointment, if preferred, on 01259 290230.

As part of the preparations for the future expansion of the walk-in service, a new Sunday pharmacy rota is also being introduced from Sunday 4 October 2026 between 12.30-17:00.

Five local pharmacies in the Clackmannanshire and Airth areas are participating in the new Sunday pharmacy rota which will start with the Alloa Pharmacy (4 October), Davidson’s Clackmannan (11 October), Alloa Pharmacy (18 October) and Right Medicine in Dollar (25 October).
