Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
Our website provides information for children and young people, their parents/carers and professionals working with young people.
CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and is provided by NHS Forth Valley. CAMHS offers a variety of services which are specially designed to help children and young people aged between 0-18 years of age, where there is a worry about their mental health and when they need specialised help because their problems are more severe and complex.
If you have urgent concerns regarding a child or young person being at immediate risk out with these hours the following help is available:
- Contact NHS24 (111) and ask to speak to a Mental Health Advisor
- Contact Childline Scotland (0800 11 11) or The Samaritans (08457 90 90 90)
- Attend your nearest Emergency Department
Contacting CAMHS
The service can be contacted Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm on 01324 610846 or via Email at: fv.camhs@nhs.scot
