Clinical Research Team

Clinical Research is a division of healthcare science that aims to determine safety and effectiveness of different medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use. These may be used for diagnosis, prevention, treatment or for relieving symptoms of a disease.

Clinical Research can:

Improve healthcare
Help us to gain a better understanding of ill health and patient experience
Inform the way health care professionals work
Offer improved care and services to NHS patients

Our aim and vision for the future of Clinical Research in Forth Valley, is to improve equity of access and offer our patients the same opportunities as other health boards. Through increasing our study portfolio to include a broad and diverse range of conditions, treatments and technologies, we are working to provide the best-evidenced quality care for patients in Forth Valley and beyond.
