COVID-19 vaccination
We are urging everyone eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine this spring to come forward, get vaccinated and stay protected – because COVID-19 hasn’t disappeared.
This year’s spring programme focuses on those most at risk, including care home residents, people aged 75 and over, and those with a weakened immune system.
If you’ve been invited, it’s because your age or health condition means you could be more vulnerable to serious illness from COVID-19.
Protection from the vaccine is strongest in the first three months and reduces over time. So even if you had your winter vaccination, it’s important to top up your protection this spring.
The spring vaccination programme runs from 1 April to 30 June 2026. If you’re eligible, you will have receive an invitation by letter, email or text message.
