NHS Forth Valley Staff Awards 2023
The NHS Forth Valley Staff Awards highlight the hard work, care and commitment of local staff across the organisation. They provide an opportunity for colleagues, patients and members of the public to say thanks and show their appreciation.
The 2023 award ceremony took place at Stirling Court Hotel on the evening of Wednesday 15th November. The winners of each of the categories are listed below along with two additional awards which were made to celebrate the 75th NHS Anniversary.
Award Categories
This award is for staff, services or teams who have delivered outstanding care and treatment and made a real difference to the lives of local patients and their families. Outstanding Care Award (sponsored by RCN Scotland)
- Chloe Jackson, Midwife, Woman and Children’s Unit, FVRH
Top Team Award
This award recognises a team which delivers an excellent service by encouraging, motivating and supporting staff to work together to drive forward positive changes and improvements.
- Integrated Mental Health Service, Falkirk Community Hospital
Inspiration Award
This award aims to recognise the work of individuals who are an inspiration to others. They lead by example, act with integrity and professionalism at all times and are approachable and supportive to everyone they meet.

Service Improvement Award
This award is for individuals or teams who have helped to improve the quality, safety, effectiveness of local care and services. This could include the development of new and innovative ways of working which make the best use of our resources, improve environmental sustainability and reduce waste.

Health and Wellbeing Award
This award recognises the work of individuals or teams who have helped improve the health and wellbeing of local patients and communities or staff within the workplace.
- Substance Use Service, Falkirk Community Hospital
Better Workplace Award (sponsored by Serco)
This award seeks to recognise an individual who makes work a better place. This is the person who brightens up your day, is always there to listen or lend a hand and makes you feel better no matter what challenges you face.
- Eilidh Gibson, Learning Disability Staff Nurse, Additional Support Team, The Bungalows, Larbert
Chair’s Award
This award is given to an individual who has demonstrated our values over the last year and provided exceptional support to local colleagues, patients and their families.
