Contact Tracing update – Fairview Care Home
NHS Forth Valley and Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), acted quickly to provide targeted support to this care home as soon as we were alerted to the outbreak.
As part of a preventative approach, all care home staff across Forth Valley are involved in a programme of weekly enhanced testing and all residents within Fairview care home were also tested immediately so that close contacts could quickly be identified.
The Health Board and the HSCP have arranged for a number of experienced staff to provide support to the home at this difficult time. NHS Forth Valley’s Public Health team are also providing specialist advice and support to help prevent the spread of the virus, ensuring that appropriate infection prevention and control measures are in in place for any residents who have tested positive.
Our priority is the health and wellbeing of all at the home and, while everything possible is being done to support the care home, unfortunately Covid-19 is a highly infectious virus which means that containing its spread is not easy even when all appropriate measures are in place.
