Thrive 2026 Celebration Event
The latest graduates of a programme which encourages women to support each other and make positive changes in their lives were celebrating.
Eight women from across the Falkirk Council area have completed the 16-week THRIVE to Keep Well course, run by NHS Forth Valley.
The health and wellbeing programme helps those taking part to achieve the positive changes in their personal and professional lives.
It is designed to build their confidence, motivation, self-esteem, as well as provide opportunities for volunteering, learning and employment.
The participants in the THRIVE to Keep Well celebration day were presented with a graduation certificate by Falkirk Council’s Deputy Provost David Balfour.
During the programme, participants took part in workshops to help increase life skills, learn ways to deal with day-to-day stresses and become more skilled at supporting their children’s learning and development. They also completed several skills workshops, and gained certificates in – CPR, Naloxone administration and Adult Achievement Awards level 3.
Jackie Turnbull, NHS Forth Valley’s THRIVE coordinator for Falkirk, said: “The programme recognises the strong links between physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and aims to help participants overcome barriers, set personal goals and gain new skills which can lead to happier, healthier lives.”
Clair Fair, NHS Forth Valley’s Keep Well Service Team Leader, added: “I would like to warmly congratulate our wonderful graduates and extend sincere thanks to our local volunteers and partners, including Falkirk Council and the many community organisations who support the programme. A special thank you also goes to Falkirk Deputy Provost David Balfour for attending the celebration day and helping to make the event so memorable.”
