Local People invited to NHS Forth Valley’s Annual Review

Local people from across Forth Valley are being invited to attend NHS Forth Valley’s Annual Review to hear more about the delivery of local health services. This will include ongoing work to improve the experience of patients and develop services for the future.

The Review takes place on Friday November 28th 2014 in the Lecture Theatre at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. It will include a short presentation from NHS Forth Valley Chairman Alex Linkston who will focus on the Health Board’s key performance, challenges and achievements over the last year and highlight key plans and priorities for the future.

The Director of Public Health and Strategic Planning, Dr Graham Foster, will speak about the Clinical Services Review which is currently under way. This will help identify what needs to be done to meet the needs of a rapidly ageing population, how to manage increasing demand for health services and deliver more care at home or in local communities so patients can retain their independence surrounded by family and friends.

He will also give an update on work to improve the health of local people.

Members of the public will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the Review, although it will not be possible to answer questions on specific patient  issues.

Alex Linkston, Chairman of NHS Forth Valley said: “This year’s annual review will provide an excellent opportunity for the communities we serve to find out more about our plans for the future and I’m therefore keen to encourage as many local people, patients and community groups from across Forth Valley to attend.”

Anyone wishing to attend should contact NHS Forth Valley by November 24 2014 and advise of any special requirements. Please telephone 0800 456033 (freephone) or Email: FV-UHB.YourHealthService@nhs.net
