Stress Control Classes in Stirling and Alloa
Are you feeling stressed? Do you want to feel more in control in 2014?
Stress Control Courses have shown to be very popular and beneficial in Alloa and classes have now been extended to Stirling.
Stress Control was devised by Dr Jim White -and is now used across the world.
It is a free course that runs over six sessions. If you want to learn better ways to handle common problems such as stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-confidence, poor sleep and panic then come along to Stress Control.
Stress Control is an evening class – not a group therapy – so you do not have to talk about your problems in front of others. You just sit back and learn some great ways to control stress. You can even bring a friend/relative/colleague if you wish!
What happens at the sessions:
Session 1: Information about stress
Session 2: Control your body: relaxation, exercise
Session 3: Control your thoughts: learn to think your way out of stress
Session 4: Control your actions: boost self confidence
Session 5: Control panic
Session 6: Control sleep problems; control your future
Each week, you will get a booklet to take away as well as a free relaxation CD.
Stress Control classes are delivered in partnership between NHS Forth Valley, Clackmannanshire and Stirling Councils, Action in Mind and Forth Valley College.
The next course starts on Wednesday 26th March, in Stirling, early evening. Other dates are available as courses will be running throughout the year in both Stirling and Alloa.
