Support for Caledonian Court Care Home

Health and social care staff are supporting staff at Caledonian Court care home in Larbert where a number of residents and staff have tested positive for coronavirus. NHS Forth Valley’s Test and Protect team are currently carrying out contact tracing and those affected are isolating. The home is currently closed to new admissions and visiting has been paused on a temporary basis.

To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be given.

NHS Forth Valley Consultant in Public Health, Dr Henry Prempeh, said: “NHS Forth Valley continues to work closely with the care home management team to provide advice and support. The safety and wellbeing of residents remains our priority.

“We would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of following the national guidance to minimise the risk of Covid-19 to themselves and others. This includes physical distancing indoors and outdoors, washing your hands regularly, using hand gel where appropriate and arranging to get tested immediately if any symptoms appear.”
