Our remembering little stars sky map is a memorial to children loved and lost, with messages submitted by you in remembrance of those little stars.

To include your message please e-mail it to us at fv.womenandchildrenbereavementteam@nhs.scot with the subject “little star”. Please keep messages to less than 400 characters or about 70 words. We’ll e-mail to let you know when your message has been added (it may take a few days).

You may also wish to include a leaf on our copper memorial tree based in the Spiritual Care Centre of Forth Valley Royal Hospital. To include a leaf please complete the application for a memory tree leaf and return by email to fv.womenandchildrenbereavementteam@nhs.scot.

Memorial Book of Pregnancy and Baby Loss

The Memorial Book of Pregnancy and Baby Loss Prior to 24 Weeks (“the Memorial Book”) is a commemorative record held by the National Records of Scotland (NRS).

It offers the opportunity to provide recognition and may offer comfort to those who wish to have a record of their loss. It was developed after listening to people who have experienced a pregnancy or baby loss prior to 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Parent To Parent Post Mortem Animation

At this time of loss and grieving as a parent, we hope that this animation will help you make an informed choice to decide what’s best for you and your family. We know that you will be facing lots of difficult conversations and decisions at this time of sadness and pain.

We hope that the film will help you in making your decision about whether to agree to a post mortem for your baby. This film was created from the experiences of other bereaved parents and we hope that knowing others have faced the same decision will help you feel less alone at this painful time and give you some comfort.
